Just printed your version. Excited to play on my first board. Thanks for the files and the video!
cool. its a great little game
I just watched all 6 videos on DungeonQuest, so well produced, thank you. I also just got your DungeonQuest TTS file and I am smiling wide because this game cost a $300 on the secondary market which I could not afford. Question about the TTS, when it loads it wants to import PDFs but it fails. I might guess that it is the manual and guides that are failing? Any thoughts? I wish this game had printable files so I could print my own game, if it is not going to be reprinted by a game company. Thank you again for the outstanding videos which how you produce and add the visuals of the cards/dice and tiles are amazing and make to so nice to watch.
Hey thanks. Much appreciated seeing how these videos were very time intensive when I made them. Glad you liked it. I just checked the TTS DQ mod and everything loaded fine. If it's just the PDFs that are not downloading for you I suggest downloading the PDFs from the web and and refer to them outside the game. Yes I hope Games Workshop does a reprint of the game so more people can play it in real life which is the best way to play.
Great game! Looked to.me.like you played it all right except for forgetting to advance the enemy discs before drawing the second last sweep card. I don’t think it would have changed the result … destiny was on your side this time. I also just place enemy discs as close as possible to the designated spot when another disc is in the way, but I liked your clockwise rule. Good win 😎
Yes I noticed that last night.
Answer to question 2 - you absolutely can save upgrade cards to use when you want to. Otherwise cards like Contingency Plan would not do anything. You played Ceowd Pleaser correct, and such a sweet shot too! And yea you don’t get the upgrade for the centre hole. One thing to add with Crowd Please is that you don’t have to hit an enemy disc on the board. Just do as the card says and flick a disc for the hole - if you get it, you clear the board 👍
Thanks for the clarification!
Yes! You can always use your Ready Five discs. Even though one of your pilots has decided to “gaff off”, your pilots on Ready Five duty are still taking their job seriously :)
Rule question.. When you encountered Galdor’s Grip at 17:06 shouldn’t it already have been rotated? In my understanding of the rules, the “anywhere in the deck” should trigger the moment you drew the fourth binding stone.. So technically it would already have been rotated and therefore forcing you to count the powers already at that point in the game..
Cards abilities only activate when they are on top. So finding the 4th stone does not affect the galdors grip card if its in the middle of the deck.
@@tracekatral I used to play it like that, but the rules say: • |Anywhere in Deck| - At any time regardless of where the ability’s card is at in the deck.
@@ulcbattlereports7388 "Anywhere in the deck" is not activated until you bring Galdor's Grip to the top + you have the 4 binding stones. You do not activate card's abilities that are in the middle of the deck. Well until the game ends, I guess. I'll try and get Gregg Jewell (the creator of the game to verify)
@@tracekatral That would be great, if he could verify.. Thanks!
@@tracekatral Anywhere in deck does activate immediately, as long as that card is face up somewhere n the deck. The idea is that the trap is now sprung and finding this card then triggers the trap immediately. Otherwise this would be the same as the on the top option.
Wow, top-notch presentation! Nice and easy to see what's going on.
Thanks!
Hope this gets another reprint.
I'm kinda disappointed in yt commenters. It's been nearly 8 years, it's got nearly 14k views, and no one's made a single time joke, like "he's using his time wisely" or "what a waste of time" or "i don't have the time for this" or "time is money" or even "what time is it?" It's Dad's Gaming, for heaven's sake! smh, y'all, S. M. F. H.
Thanks for showcasing, I found this game about a month ago as well and it's already become something I play daily. Love the art, love the theme and how easy it is to just play anywhere
How does one get it?
@@pnutbutrncrackerslook at the video description
“Hey, do another round!” :) If you record another game, I’ll watch it. In terms of placing a disc (you mentioned a couple of times you weren’t sure of the rules), you were playing it right. You can place the disc wherever you like in the appropriate region.
I finally beat the game the other day! Of course no cameras were on and there were some epic shots. Yes I'll do one more session on cam win or lose!
Glad you beat it - well done :)
I'm trying to figure out if it's worth upgrading my 3rd edition for this newer revised edition.....but I can't figure out what the differences are =/
If you have TableTop Simulator you can subscribe to the DungeonQuest game I made for it. Look at the last 2 videos in this series. There is a link to it.
Love this game!
Great video, now I want this game in my collection:) This or third edition?
Revised edition. If you have Table Top simulator on steam you can download the workshop item I made. The link is in the description of episode 1.
DUNGEONQUEST!! YES!
I need more dungeonquest! Good play through:)
Surprised I found exactly what I searched for xD Cheers 🍻
Bought this recently, looking to play it this week. Has anyone pointed out that your shirt is on inside out? Great Video Thank you.
Great, simple, really well filmed/produced guide. Just started playing this game solo tonight and wasn't sure on how a few little fiddly bits of the turn sequence worked. But I feel like I really understand the rules now I've watched this video. Could have saved myself half an hour with the rulebook and just watched this first.
"You will never get it perfectly straight" No offence mate but you just didn't have the right tools. Love the build though. Stealing it for mine.
I got lucky on my Hotas One.. 3 of 4 holes fit right away. I still had to redo the 4th hole because it would go off otherwise. Now I'm ready to play Elite the way it's meant to be. Thanks a lot for the inspiration. I will give you credits when sending my setup to D2EA
Wow awesome project!
Thanks, congrats! What a superb video!
21:10 rulebook says Swarm: A group of one or more Genestealers on the same side and position of the formation. So a single Genestrahler ist still considered to ne a swarm
You are correct.
Those 'hammer-in-nuts' need to be put in from the underside, so you can tighten the screws more.
There doesn't really need to be any tension because there are no heads.
Nice, seems to work well and looks all good together in black and yellow! Don't think having the keyboard tray pivot on one side so you can more easily access chair?
It does pivot.
Old video, but perfectly simple for myself to try out! Thanks for sharing.
At minute 18:43 there is a shifting action executed as a result of Brother Valencio being killed which I think it's correct but a few second there is a correction pop-up stating that "The vent card should have moved up". Am I missing something? Can someone please explain why the vent card should have moved up ? The rules state: "Shifting is resolved by taking every Terrain card, Space Marine card, and Genestealer card in the smaller segment of the formation and moving them (up or down) to fill in the slain Space Marine’s previous position." and "When shifting, note that it is possible for more than one Terrain card to be in the same position."
That’s a great idea! Thanks for this!
getting this back to the table. This is the best video for this game. good stuff.
Wow!!! Fantastic idea. love it. Especially the t-shirt design. Great great video
The reverb is bothersome for clarity but it works.
Are there any other solo games similar to this?
Warhammer Quest the card game is not the same but close. Lord of the Rings LCG is another good card game that can be played solo
All the effort and insane details you did in this video are deeply appreciated by everyone who had the chance to see it. Hope you read this and makes your day better knowing that you helped out another Dad, I also hope you came back to making more videos. Thanks for everything
Wow thanks. Good to hear. Yes I am planning .....actually making more videos. Im making one now but its taking me awhile. Its a build! I have another single player card game play through i want to tackle. Thanks again for your kind words. I dropped the name Dads Gaming BTW. Too generic. I went with my long time screen name..Trace Katral.
@@tracekatral awesome to hear you'll keep making more! Looking forward to see them
great DIY would have lov to see a vid on you building it
Hallo kannst du mir bitte das noch einmal mit dem Germanischen Basebad erklären .Danke
Translation: Hello, can you please explain that to me once again with the Germanischer Basebad. Thanks.... Uhm.....
Would you be willing to make a sell a pair of these?
I was thinking of making and selling them. But it would be a nightmare if the chair's arms are different widths and lengths.
thx for sharing this....this gives me some good idias for me.
I love this idea!
Hey just wanted to say thanks a lot for for your video didn’t copy it exactly but pretty close works perfect and I just wanted to make sure I said thanks your awesome!!!
Craig O'DonnellVicente hey thats great! Makes cockpit games way more immersive.
I feel like the diagram pictured on page 23 in the rule book contradicts the conveyor belt system of movement and attacking that you're describing. In the example, doing it your way, 4 and 3 would merge and then move up together, instead of two separate movements. (you would need to see the picture in order to understand what i'm saying) Also... it states on page 13 that you start with the swarm closest to the top of the formation, each swarm attacks. If two swarms are in the same position, the swarm on the left side of the formation attacks first. To me it seems more like a direct top to bottom system and when you have Genestealers on the right side, you resolve those immediately after the left side, then moving down to the next card until you reach the bottom position. These examples make me wonder why you would work from the bottom right position card first, then move up when on the right side, like you're describing.
I also noted this - rule book p13 says to start GS attacks at the swarm closest to the top of the formation and to the left if there are swarms on each side of the marine.
7:23 you mention one genestealer is not considered a 'swarm' but the rules terminology list defines a swarm as 'one' or more genestealers. So that would mean one genestealer is indeed a 'swarm'?
Thanks. I haven't had time to make any vids in awhile. I don't make any money doing this so its hard to justify time. I do plan on making more board game vids and well, games in general. With regards to video games i want to approach it like i do with board games. How to play and a playthrough to show gameplay. No reviews or opinions or yelling like a moron. Anyway thanks.
This video is so good, thanks a lot!! Please keep on making great videos about board games!
At 12:38, the red team support ability is to be taken at the END of the event phase not before. So you would have to wait until the event card is pulled and Genestealers are spawned BEFORE using the red support teams ability. So at 13:45 after you pulled the event card is when your Marines with support tokens may use that ability.
Wow! Great idea!
Amazing!!!
This was an awesome video. I now need to what other games you have done this for.
More are planned (simpler games) I just don't have time. Thanks for the kind words. I have done a Talisman video series. ua-cam.com/video/08m6z58sTrU/v-deo.html

+Måns Christensson Thanks for the kind words. Yes im planning to make more. Time though.
Despite of those flaws, thanks to Your video I was able to easily understand all rules and start playing. Thanks for that :)
